Holyport Free School Given New Name
A new free school which is set to open in the village next year will be called Holyport College. Formerly known as Holyport Free School, it will provide up to 500 places for 11-19 co-educational day and boarding pupils. School co-founder, Simon Dudley, said the new name was attractive and would help with their marketing campaign.
Design plans for the new school are to be unveiled at a planning consultation on Monday.
"This is a requirement as part of the planning application, which will be submitted in the next few weeks," added Mr Dudley. "It is an opportunity for the community to come over and give their views and for people to get a better idea of the plans."
The consultation will take place at Holyport War Memorial Hall, in Moneyrow Green, between 3-7pm. Interested parents will also have a chance to speak to representatives of the school's trust.
